To avoid competing with the NFL Super Bowl and Phoenix Open Golf Tournament, the 2023 Concours in the Hills will be held one week earlier than normal on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in its familiar Fountain Park, Fountain Hills, location.
Each year since its inception in 2014, the event has set new records for the number of cars on display, number of spectators and sponsors, and funds raised for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Last year’s Concours had some 1,200 vehicles, brought in an estimated 50,000 people, had over 100 sponsor displays and raised $430,000 for PCH.
Organized by sections for Domestics, Imports, Race Cars, Limited-Edition Exotics, Off-Road, and Motorcycles and helicopter display that includes military attack helicopters, a new-for-2023 Alternate Fuel section has been added with the support of the Electric Vehicle Association.
To date, approximately 1,000 vehicles have been registered.
Concours in the Hills is heavily supported by the leading car clubs and dealers supporting Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Corvette, Mustang, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and others. The Race Car Section of about 30 vehicles will this year include including a Mirage M1 and M12, Ford GT Mk IV, McLaren Mk 8E, Toyota GTP, Lotus 38 and 18, Lola T70, T-333 & 97-20, Genie Mk 10, Eagle 81, Reynard/Eagle, Surtees TS5, Scarab, Lightweight XK-E, and numerous others.
Last year’s Best Race Car Award went to a Maserati Birdcage.
This year’s show will be declared open by race drivers Harley Cluxton, Derek Daly, Lyn St. James and Didier Theys.
Admission is free for spectators. Cost for private exhibitors is just $75 per car or truck and $40 per motorcycle, although many donate more. All funds go to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Arizona’s only children’s hospital, as the organizers are all volunteers.
