Expect the extraordinary at RM Sotheby’s 2023 season opener in Arizona

After an unprecedented and record-breaking year, RM Sotheby’s is thrilled to launch into 2023 with a return to the Arizona Biltmore & Spa in Phoenix on January 26 for its 24th annual Arizona sale.

Some anticipated early highlights of the premier one-day auction:

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari: Finished in Blu Elettrico over Crema leather, this is a truly unique example of an era-defining modern Ferrari hypercar. Delivered new to Ferrari super-collector Greg Whitten, its odometer indicates just 3,185 miles.

1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra: CSX 3011 is truly a triple threat of Shelby significance: It is the only Cobra to have featured in the Cobra Caravan tour, a major Hollywood movie starring Elvis, and in period competition.

2017 Ford GT: Offered by its first and only owner, this Ford GT is presented in virtually as-new condition throughout, having been driven less than 380 miles. Finished in Liquid Grey with Ingot Silver stripes, the GT rides on silver wheels with matching silver calipers, and it is optioned with the gloss-finish carbon fiber package. Inside, it boasts the “Dark Energy” interior theme, a $25,000 option, and is also equipped with the optional leather-wrapped steering wheel.

“Last year, when RM Sotheby’s came to Arizona to kick off the auction calendar, the collector car community was closely monitoring how the sale would perform after the global turmoil of 2020 and 2021,” said Gord Duff, Global Head of Auctions. “[We] had a great sale, and the momentum continued to build through the rest of 2022.

“We are excited to return to Arizona with the most knowledgeable and talented team in the business,” Duff continued. “From the stunning LaFerrari to a truly special Competition Cobra, Arizona 2023 will have an offering for every type of collector.”
