Thunder on the Cimarron XXI is the fifth of six vintage races on the 2022 Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing (CVAR) calendar, marking a return to the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit which hosted the successful Mike Stephens Classic back in March.
Registration will remain open until Wednesday, October 5, for the three-day Oct. 7-9 event, and drivers are encouraged to enter early: There are late fees added after Sept. 28 and for at-track registration.
CVAR race weekends are always enjoyable. The web site says, “As Corinthians, we are ladies and gentlemen who support and race vintage automobiles. We are dedicated to high standards of safety, conduct and ethics. We share a love of cars authentically prepared. We compete for the satisfaction of racing vintage cars, not for the glory.
“The purpose of CVAR shall be to encourage the restoration, preservation and operation of Vintage Sports Cars, to act as a source of technical and other information, and to conduct a broad range of events for Vintage Sports Cars and their owners.”
