The Arizona Concours d’Elegance will be back, returning as one of the highlights of Arizona Car Week in January 2023. The fine automobiles show and competition will be held on the grass at the newly renovated Scottsdale Civic Center, bordered by the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art).
Previously, the Arizona Concours was previously held at the historic Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix.
Concours principals Ed Winkler, Chuck Stanford, Jr. and Steve Evans, have formed a new partnership with Scottsdale Arts, the multi-disciplinary arts organization responsible for artistic services in the city of Scottsdale, to conduct the Concours at its new location.
Scheduled for January 22, 2023, concours organizers will again invite owners of about 100 rare and exotic automobiles to present their pride and joys for judging and exhibition, with the best among them awarded class prizes and the coveted Best-of-Show.
“Scottsdale Arts and city of Scottsdale are thrilled to welcome this premier automotive event to our calendar of arts and entertainment,” said Dr. Gerd Wuestemann, president and CEO of Scottsdale Arts.
“We are excited to have such a fantastic arts organization as our partner as we revive this beloved event,” added Ed Winkler, co-director of the Arizona Concours d’Elegance.
The theme for the 2023 Concours is “The Art of Aerodynamics.” Looking to draw on its previous success as a high-end event, the Concours will welcome select automobiles for submission beginning May 9. The form for submissions can be found at HERE.
Tickets for the Concours go on sale June 1; purchase information can be found on the website.
