The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, presented by the Greater Pittsburgh Automobile Dealers Foundation, is the nation’s largest vintage street race with 10 days of racing, car shows, parties, parades and motorsport events. This year, between July 15-21, we’ll be hosting three fabulous parties during Race Week, all leading up to our 40th annual July 23-24 racing through the streets of Schenley Park.
Black Tie & Tailpipes Gala, Friday, July 15: Housed in the beautifully preserved Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station, the Grand Concourse Restaurant at Station Square is a true testament to grandeur and elegant dining. With cathedral stained-glass vaulted ceilings, marble columns, and a dramatic staircase, guests are quickly transported to the glamorous side of Pittsburgh’s rich heritage. The award-winning menu boasts a fine selection of signature seafood specialties and tender steaks. Special cars will be parked on the street in front of the restaurant and along Station Square Drive.
Tune-Up Party, Wed., July 20, Southside Works Towne Square: The PVGP looks forward to celebrating our 40th year by partying South Side Style with a Tune-Up Party at Southside Works, Towne Square. Register for this one soon—space is limited. The contribution is just $40 to put your vehicle in the Car Showcase; entry includes two free drinks at one of several mobile bars within the show. Hundreds of cars will gather for a fabulous car show including race cars, exotics, antiques and show cars for this exciting street festival in the streets surrounding SHOP 412, and the Southside Works Towne Square.
Passport to Elegance, Thursday, July 21: The high-flying Passport to Elegance party lands at Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport where, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on July 21, guests will be part of a unique and immersive experience. LUXE Creative, known for its unique, exciting and engaging luxury events, will again produce the event—100 years of automotive and air transportation in a festive and lavish atmosphere, with scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, strolling food stations and top-shelf open bars. The evening includes live big band music, silent and live auctions, and other surprises.
