Even more goodies have been added to the Gooding & Company Amelia Island docket since our early preview featuring a spectacular duo of race cars in the 1967 Toyota-Shelby 2000 GT and 1965 Porsche 904/6. The 99-car docket features competition cars, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance winners, and everything in between.

One such lot is the exquisite Figoni et Falaschi-bodied 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C-SS Teardrop Coupe. This example, chassis 90107, is widely regarded as the most beautiful and unique of the Figoni-bodied Teardrops – based on the most extreme variation of the design featuring all-aluminum coachwork with fully enveloping, skirted front fenders. Only two bodies with this unique feature were produced, and today, 90107 is the sole surviving example with its original body intact.

Gooding & Company’s annual Amelia Island auction is slated for 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4 at the beachfront Omni Amelia Island Resort. Viewings will be held Thursday, March 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, March 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
