As noted on this website last week the Classic Sports Racing Group’s May 21-22 Laps for Laguna is shaping up to be a very special West Coast late-spring affair—“Like no other event we’ve held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca,” says the CSRG announcement. “Two full days (racing until 6:00 p.m.!) of feel-good racing that benefits the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation.
CSRG reports they purposely kept its entry fee down for two reasons: 1) Its Board members all agreed that the event needs to be accessible; and 2) because COVID has burdened everyone’s lives for so long, it’s time to have a little—health-safety-disciplined, of course—fun!
Re “fun”, there are many more details to follow.
Because this is a charitable event co-hosted by the 301c3 LSRF, donations (which will be fully invested in the raceway) are encouraged. To that end, unlimited crew passes will be available at no extra charge though CSRG asks that in lieu of purchasing those passes, you donate to the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation when you register.
Important note: if you donate when registering, you will not receive a receipt for a taxable donation. If you require
a receipt for your donation, you will need to donate by clicking HERE.
When you donate:
1) Please be sure to choose the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation as the beneficiary.
2) For the gift to be recognized as originating from CSRG, please click the “Honorary Gift” option and include CSRG under the “My Gift is in Honor” field:
A healthy turnout is expected, so entries will be limited.
