The Audrain Automobile Museum will feature November 20, 2021 through February 20, 2022 the much-anticipated Nick Begovich Collection exhibit, “Engineering + Design = Passion.”
A retired engineer, scientist, philanthropist, tinkerer, and car collector, Dr. Begovich resided in Fullerton, California, until his death at age 98 in May, 2020. The Audrain Museum exhibit will feature 14 postwar sports and grand touring cars collected during his lifetime, with 12 on view in the museum’s gallery. Many were purchased new and directly from the factory, including a Porsche Carrera GTS (904), one of the most historically significant cars in the collection. With just 1,800 miles on its odometer, this is considered one of the most original 904’s in the world. It has never been taken apart, though was recently recommissioned by the Audrain team and is once again road worthy.
Also worthy of note, is the collection’s remarkable 1969 Lamborghini Miura, also purchased new by Mr. Begovich in Rome and which has also covered minimal mileage since that time.

The collection also features one of the only six existing ATS 2500 GTS coupes, a 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster, a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale and a gorgeous 1974 Maserati Bora.
Dr. Begovich was passionate about his cars, though he drove them minimally, with many driven less than 10,000 miles in the 60 years since they were built.

The Audrain Automobile Museum in Newport, Rhode Island, has 7,500 square feet of gallery space and annually produces four curated exhibits, typically displaying 12-20 vehicles cars of a particular period, genre or theme in a no-touch, self-guided experience. These exhibits attract more than 30,000 visitors per year.
