With 867 entries, this year’s SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be second only to the amazingly huge 969 entries at Indy in 2017. As the club racing elite make their way to the Midwest from all corners of the country, we onlookers can only marvel at the drivers and machines from so many diverse eras, especially in the Production classes, set to do battle through the weekend at such a storied racetrack.

Prowling through the entry list, vintage racing enthusiasts note the E Production class where a 1975 Triumph TR6 will compete against RX-7s, Miatas, and a 2004 Honda S2000. F Production is packed with a gaggle of Mazda Miatas, an ’83 Volkswagen Rabbit, ’74 Fiat X/19, and ’68 Volvo P1800 all in the mix. And of course, venerable H Production featuring a 40+ car field with race cars from six different decades — a sight to behold.
