Hillsborough, CA – Until last year, the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance held the distinction as the world’s longest continuously running concours with a 65-year run.
Now it’s coming back July 18 — with lifelong collector car enthusiast Glen Egan as its new chairman, as well as the selection of BMW and Ford as featured marques for event at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame.
These significant racers are among the BMW and Ford entries:
— 1975 BMW 3.0 CSL, a complete build to a combined Group 5 /IMSA spec race car
— 1916 Ford Speedster, a two-time entrant in The Great Race and in many historic dirt track races
— 1979 BMW M1 Procar, restored by Canepa and winner of the Designer’s Choice award at the 2016 ArtCenter Car Classic
A passionate lifelong Italian sports car aficionado and motorsports enthusiast, Glen Egan has also participated in amateur motorcycle and kart racing. He’s sponsored the go-kart championships at Sonoma Raceway for the last decade, and has managed logistics for the Concours since 2015.

In honoring the iconic BMW and Ford brands, the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance will present several dedicated classes for the two marques, as well as special displays.
The Concours will conclude a weekend of festivities that starts with Friday’s Kick-Off Party featuring 40 vintage and classic cars on display in a historic building in Burlingame.
Saturday’s annual Hillsborough Tour d’Elegance road rally will traverse the Bay Area’s most scenic back roads and vistas, concluding with lunch at a private estate.
Partnering with the Town of Hillsborough, the concours events raise proceeds for Ability Path, The Guardsmen and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.
