John Jeffrey races his colorful ’72 Datsun 240Z in Friday action at Summit Point Raceway.

Summit Point, WV–According to VM Senior Photographer Bill Stoler, it seems like old times at the Jefferson 500 this weekend—perfect weather accompanied by an amazing turnout of racers and fans. Stoler said, “I’ve never seen so many smiling faces at the track. Everyone is just so happy to be getting back to one of the Vintage Racer Group’s most popular race weekends, cancelled, of course, in 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Held every year at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, W. VA, the race has always attracted big grids and a long entry list across many different VRG vintage racing groups.

The action winds up Sunday and we’ll follow up with more photos and with full coverage in the July/Aug 2021 issue of Vintage Motorsport.
