Santa Monica, CA — Gooding & Company’s May 3-7 Geared Online sale features three rare and exclusive European sports cars: a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Alloy, 1957 BMW 507 Series II, and a highly desirable disc-brake 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster.
The Ferrari presented is the 9th example built and retains its matching-numbers engine. It’s accompanied by a set of owner’s handbooks, tool roll, jack and report produced by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini.
The BMW on offer is an unusually correct example featuring its original data plate, body tag and under-hood tool kit with proper Hazet components. It’s still powered by its matching-numbers engine, per BMW Classic records.
The Mercedes-Benz in the sale has been restored by leading experts of the marque, well documented in an album of detailed photographs. The 300 SL retains important original components, including its chassis, body and engine. It comes with an optional hardtop, along with books, tools and more.
