London, ENGLAND — RM Sotheby’s livestreamed Feb. 13 Paris auction of 40 sports, racing and touring cars, as well as a selection of primarily Ferrari automobilia, achieved sales of $11.40 million with bidders from 32 countries. A few lots remain unsold.
Taking the top sale was a recently restored, Polo Storico-certified 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV by Bertone that sold for $2.938 million.
Other notable sales include the only 1993 Isdera Commendatore 112i built, which sold for $1.349 million; a 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 ‘Periscopio’ originally owned by Rod Stewart that brought $940,197; and a Ferrari 330 P2 Junior by De La Chapelle, a miniature re-creation of the marque’s famed race car, which achieved 12 times its pre-sale estimate to see for a record-breaking $145,461.
