The Sept. 30 session at 8 p.m. (ET) will feature presentation of the Irv Gordon Scholarship — sponsored by the Volvo Club of America, Castrol and Driving Young America — to commemorate the life of the car owner who set a Guinness World Record for driving his 1966 Volvo P1800S for 53 years and more than 3.3 million miles. The recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship toward study for a career in automotive technology.
Then at 1 p.m. (ET) Oct. 6, Jeff Lane will offer a special live tour of Nashville’s Lane Motor Museum as inspiration for this year’s Michelin Junior Challenge Design contest — Land, Air & Sea — using Hilton Head Island Concours’ Facebook page. Get event info on Facebook.
At 4 p.m. (ET) Oct. 14, Castrol and Michelin will provide information from industry insiders in an online video broadcast with a Q&A session. And at 2 p.m. (ET) Nov. 1, Michelin will present the final judging and reveal of this year’s student designs for its Global Design Challenge.
