Los Angeles, CA — After spending its first six years on the West Coast, this year’s May 29-31 celebration of air-cooled Porsches will move to Durham, N.C., a revitalized and fast-growing metro area known for its technological innovation as well as its Southern charm.
The brainchild of two-time Le Mans class winner Patrick Long and noted Southern California creative director Howie Idelson, Luft features the best air-cooled Porsche vehicles, from the Pre-A 356 to the 993 911. Plans call for May 29 as arrival day, then official event festivities kick off with a Saturday night pre-party that leads into Sunday’s main event.
Specific details are still sparse, but organizers have hinted at the potential for large-scale Porsche caravans coming from the west — and from other directions as well. Subscribe to the Luft eNewsletter to be first in line for event details.
