Paris, FRANCE — Seven vintage and historic Bugattis lead Bonhams’ docket for its Feb. 6 sale in Paris.

In pole position is a 1932 Bugatti Type 55 (above) that started life as a works entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans driven by two of the era’s most celebrated racing drivers, Louis Chiron and Count Guy Bouriat-Quintart. It’s one of only 29 known surviving Type 55s of the total 38 produced.

Also on offer is a rare 1938 Bugatti Type 57 ‘Atalante’ Coupé (one of only 34 examples), regarded as the most sporting derivative of the car — styled by Jean Bugatti himself — and a supercharged 1939 Type 57C ‘Stelvio’ Cabriolet with coachwork by Gangloff. Another Bugatti coming to the sale is a 1925 Type 39 Grand Prix Racing Two-Seater.
