Scottsdale, AZ — We followed the action on 7 successful race cars during Arizona Auction Week…here are the results.

The 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon in the first road course victory of his Winston Cup career was sold as a charity car by Barrett-Jackson for $250,000 to benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League.

Also on B-J’s docket was the 1986 Lola T8600 driven by Mario Andretti for Newman/Hass Racing to the pole at Phoenix International Raceway to break the tie with A.J. Foyt for all-time number of pole positions in an Indy/Champ car. It sold at no reserve for $95,700.

And the 1963 Custom Kuzma Offenhauser Race Car driven by Troy Ruttman — still the youngest driver to win the Indy 500 — was sold by B-J at no reserve for $165,000. One of the few laydown cars to run the 500, it’s been accepted by IMS as authentic.

Over at Gooding & Company, a 1954 Offenhauser 180 Racing Engine, once owned by famed racer Phil Hill, exceeded its pre-sale estimate of $30,000-$40,000 to hammer sold for $60,480.

Also at Gooding & Co., a genuine factory-built 1970 Porsche 914/6 GT that earned first in class honors at the 24 Hours of Daytona and 4th in class at the 12 Hours of Sebring sold for $995,000.

And at RM Sotheby’s, a 1961 Sunbeam Harrington Alpine NART Coupe that was a two-time 12 Hours of Sebring competitor in 1962-63 sold for $196,000.

Also sold by RM Sotheby’s was a 2014 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, the model developed by Ferrari specifically for Pro-Am driver combinations in long-distance classics — with success at the Spa 24 Hours, the Gulf 12 Hours and the Bathurst 12 Hours — sold for $179,200.
