Chino Hills, CA — Registration remains open for the Vintage Auto Racing Association’s Sept. 14-15 Thunder Down Under event at Willow Springs International Raceway.

In addition to VARA’s regular run groups, the event will offer an Australian Pursuit with two races: a “Roo Rumble” and a “Kiwi Klash.”
As the club explains on its website, an Australian Pursuit is a handicap race that allows each car to compete for the overall win regardless of its VARA class. All cars start from the pits with a grid prepared by using qualifying times, then inverting the field — with the slowest car released first.
