Marshall Pruett (Writer, reporter, photographer, and filmmaker) was seemingly everywhere at once during last weekend’s Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Between interviewing prominent event attendees, coordinating in-car footage, and making sure it was all quickly available on racer.com, it is clear that the celebration of IMSA had him firing on all cylinders (pardon the pun).
Kicking things off is WTR’s current DPI driver and IMSA champion Jordan Taylor in a 1976 Greenwood Corvette.
Taylor also gave a tour of the car and offers his perspective of the beastly machine.
Next up is visor cam footage of legendary BMW driver (and current IMSA GTD driver with Turner Motorsport) Bill Auberlen in the same 1999 BMW V12 LMR he drove in the American Le Mans Series.
Last but certainly not least is Gunnar Jeannette passing 25 cars in 2 laps after starting near the back of the pack in The Revs Institute’s 1964 Alfa Romeo GTZ. Gunnar is often the pilot of choice for The Revs Institute and after watching this it is pretty easy to see why.
A huge kudos to Marshall Pruett for bringing all of us this great content and for the drivers and teams that helped as well. Look for more great content from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion here and at racer.com
