VIDEO: F1 1985. Brilliant.

No, not the words, it’s the images in this brilliantly edited 3-minute Formula 1 “music video”  posted last July on Finn Antti Kalhola’s YouTube channel, an emotional image-fest highlighting the 1985 World Championship.

The music is British synthwave band Gunship’s haunting “The Mountain” which adds depth to the tightly edited video of an especially fraught and entertaining season which rewarded Frenchman Alain Prost with the first of his four F1 World Championships; saw the rise of two-GP winner Michele Alboreto; featured first F1 victories of Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell (in Portugal and Great Britain respectively); and marked the final farewell of Niki Lauda.
