Walworth, WI — Mecum will return to the Portland Expo Center June 21-22 with 500 classic and collector cars — from American muscle cars and Corvettes to classics, vintage pickup trucks, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more.
Among the current featured lots is a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback, one of just 857 of the model produced for 1969. This example features the Boss 429/375 HP 820-T engine, and the vehicle has just undergone a two-year restoration that included a refinishing in its original color of Candy Apple Red. Another 4-speed Mustang consigned for auction is a 1969 Mach 1 Fastback that boasts a matching-numbers S-Code 390 V8 big-block engine and 4-barrel carburetor. The vehicle recently underwent a rotisserie restoration, returning it to factory specifications including the correct Winter Blue metallic paint.
Other auction highlights include a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible equipped with a matching-numbers dual-quad 365/300hp V8 engine. Previously owned by Hall of Fame “Kustomizer” John D’Agostino, the car is one of 1,800 produced in 1967 and today features custom House of Kolor Pearl paint by Hall of Fame artist and painter Art Hims. Also, a 1971 Buick GSX that was one of 337 imported for sale into Canada.
