Due to overwhelming response to the Formula Ford 50th anniversary celebration, FF entries exceeded the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association’s 200-car maximum, prompting the club to add a third FF group to meet the demand.

• VFF: Vintage Formula Fords on treads
• CFF: Club Formula Fords on treads
• SFF: Formula Fords on treads and slicks; and Club FFs on slicks.
Ford is on board as the presenting sponsor, and it’s hosting the Thursday evening FF “Birthday Party” for Formula Ford drivers and crew. Paul Page, the “Voice of the Indianapolis 500,” will be the event’s Honored Guest. The ELVF normally garners more than 300 entries, so the car tally could easily exceed 500.
Event co-chair Mike Korneli noted that FF and Test & Tune registration opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, with regular registration starting at 7 a.m. Thursday. For the
first time, VSCDA is handling the Thursday Test & Tune, with full and half-day options.
He also gave assurances that traditional VSCDA groups will still receive the same amount of track time as in previous years, including three Cup Races and the Jeff Porasik Enduro. The event will also feature its traditional Road Course Re-Enactment and the Gather on the Green Concours.
