2019 Kastner Cup Contest Headed to Buttonwillow Raceway

Pittsburgh, PA — The 2019 Kastner Cup will be contested at Vintage Auto Racing Association’s May 4-5 British Extravaganza at Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow, CA.
Full details are still in the works, but in addition to VARA’s usual race groups, the 17th annual all-Triumph Kastner Cup will be among the weekend’s feature races.

Founded by R. W. “Kas” Kastner, the Kastner Cup is awarded to one Triumph competitor each year, and has contested at well-known tracks across the United States, including Portland International Raceway, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, Road America, Eagle Canyon and Blackhawk Farms Raceway.
The award is based on 50% for the competitive results on the race track during the event (not necessarily the winner), 25% for the presentation of the car, and 25% for the owner’s attitude and interest in vintage racing.
