Denver, CO — Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing will sponsor the Aspen Snowmass Vintage Car Race Sept. 14 and is looking for volunteers for the street race.
Volunteer corner marshals must have previous experience or be an RMVR member or learn necessary skills at this weekend’s Race Against Kids Cancer event. Crowd control volunteers need not have previous experience. Get volunteering details and sign up.
The first-time event will kick off the Snowmass Village Motoring Classic Weekend and will take place on public roads encompassing a challenging 14-turn course over a 1.3-mile loop using Carriage Way, Brush Creek Road and Wood Road. It will feature 60-70 vintage race cars from the 1960s and 1970s, competing in the first automotive race in 19 years to occur completely on Town of Snowmass Village streets. The last time a race of this caliber was held in ski country was in 1998 in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
